Games are ON!
The FC Dallas player session scheduled for Five Star on Thursday,
April 10th will be rescheduled at a later date.
Photos have been canceled and will be rescheduled on March
29th. If you had previously rescheduled them for Tuesday, March 11th
or Thursday, March 13th, they will be taken on that day unless you contact
The Sports Section directly to reschedule. The new photo schedule
will be sent early next week by your director. If
you play Inter-city, please check other cities websites or call the
rain-out lines for field conditions of other associations. Reschedules will be posted by Friday of next
week.
All fields must be painted prior
to the start of the games. If you are the first teams playing, you must
arrive early to paint the fields. If the fields are not painted, the games
will not be started. The referee will start the clock at the scheduled
game time and the clock will run. Once they are painted, the game will
being. However, that time will not be made up.
If it begins to rain, we will play as long as the fields are safe.
We will stop play if there is lightning within 6 miles (as indicated by our lightning detectors) and make a determination at that time for those
games only. If you are unsure if we are playing, assume the games are on and come join us
at the fields.
Games scheduled for other cities will be played or not played based on the decision by that other city. See
Intercity Rainout numbers below.
Are you a
Graduating Senior in
2008?
If so then you may qualify for a $500
scholarship from The Colony Youth Soccer Association, as a graduating
senior from The Colony High School.
Two scholarships will be given out, one to a graduating female and
one to a graduating male. You
must be a graduating senior this year and are planning to start college by
December 31, 2008. If you are
interested in applying for this scholarship, please complete this
application in full and mail to The Colony Youth Soccer Association,
Attn: Scholarships, P.O. Box
560334, The Colony, TX 75056.
Your application must be postmarked and received by April

The Sports Section has once again been selected to be
the official photography company for the Fall 07 and Spring
08 season. Spring Photos
will be taken at Five Star on Saturday, March 8th,
2008
with make-up dates for Tuesday, March
11th and Thursday, March

approximately 3 weeks from the photo date. Each teams

To our Players:
We commit to you to make this a great season full of fun and
excitement. We will work hard to make sure that each game is
as fun as it can be.
To our Coaches:
We look to you to guide our young players and help them play
the best games that they can play. We also want them to have
as much fun as they possibly can! We will try to keep our
Coaches Corner
filled with helpful links that will show you new skills and
lessons to pass on to your players.
To our Referees:
We look to you to help our games run smooth, safe, and fair. With
your knowledge of the rules of our game and your ability to remain
objective through out the season, you can insure that each team
can play each game to the best of their ability.
To the Parents:
We look to you to be the backbone of our organization. Without
your love, support, and positive reinforcement to the players,
they would most likely not want to return each season. We
encourage you to take a very active role in the organization
and help us to make each season absolutely wonderful for our
young players! Our coaches can always use a helping hand, and
our board of directors would love to see you at the monthly
meetings.
